My blogs will mainly be about books that I've read or currently reading . John Maxwell has a Awesome book! And one of my all time Favorites! " Failing Foward" I wanted to talk about Mary Kay Ash(Owner of Mary Kay) and how Inspiring her story is despite haveing some huge roadblocks & failure from the book : Mary Kay Ash rose to success in her early career with a direct sales company waiting for a promotion within the job it was given away to to man that they felt best would fit the job. Angry at the discrimination and the fact she couldn't progess in the corprate world as a women,she retired and decided to write a book to women about her situation but quickly realize that this could be a business Idea. She decided on a cosmetic business that would allow every women a equal opportunity. Going to her Attornery & accountant for advice the told her that her business would fail and " if you're going to throw away your life savings why don't you go directly to a trash can "? Pushing through her first roadblock ,she got together $5000 of life savings started her business. One month before opening her door her husband died of a heart attack right at there kitchen table. Most people would of accepted this defeat and quit, she kept going launch her business in Sept 13 1963 and as of 2008 in 2.2 billion dollar company , with 1.7 million repersenaitives worldwide. ~Knowing this story and knowing that we all will haveto face failures in life we should as ourselves this: If our ...
