Evolution Explained by Carl Sagan

| I enjoyed how Sagan briefly described the course of evolution from the beginning of life to the present using simple diagrams and explanation. Evolution today, is the single unifying principle in all of biology and has long been accepted as fact. It explains the overwhelming diversity of life on Earth, as well as the constancy of molecular and morphological attributes observed in diverse assemblages of plants and animals. Charles Darwin's publication of On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection in 1859 marks the beginning of scientific understanding of how evolution has molded the history of life. Today Charles Darwin was born in 1809 in England. His Theory of Evolution through Natural Selection revolutionized natural science and changed the face of religion. Theists have been refuting it for 150 years without success. Video uploaded on 12th February 2011 to commemorate the International Darwin Day. |
